AWESOME OLD CONCEPT
INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my Sword Art Online cosplay gallery. I am not sure how many people still remember the series called .hack. Yep, the concept of Sword Art Online is actually nothing new. But whatever exploded SAO into fame? I have no idea.

Maybe it is the combination of good action, characters, and a story that many gamers can relate to in real life… or maybe it is the sheer power of marketing. Either way, I still love this series and the characters. The hype of the series may be a little too much, but this is still a good one to catch up with.

CHARACTER SYNOPSIS
For ye who hath not watched the series

Kirito is someone who is not good with words, as stated by Klein, and can be quite direct. This is due to him not having many friends and closing others off because of his love for computers.

Asuna originally did not care about dying in the game before meeting Kirito. That meeting drastically changed Asuna’s personality and outlook on life. She soon takes most things Kirito says to heart and looks to him for help, using him as somewhat of a lifeline.

Calm and cool are two words that best describe Sinon’s personality. In battle and most of the time in the game, she keeps a cool head that makes other female players admire her.

THE SETUP
How it’s done – Kirito & Asuna

Believe it or not, Kirito and Asuna shoot is done during an event. No fanciful lighting – just a single Godox AD360 light upfront, and the rest is Photoshop magic.

THE SETUP
How it’s done – Sinon

For this shoot, we fed a lot of mosquitoes. Thanks to a tropical forest shoot. I used my “typical” lighting setup again – Octagon softbox as main light, grided octagon softbox as sidelight, and cyan color gels to light the background plus haze.
