Welcome photo ninja! You have found my collection of not-so-secret free photography tutorials. I started photography in the early 2000s, and I have learnt a great deal of stuff all over the Internet.
So now, it’s time for me to give back.
From years of my own experience in photography, I have written a whole stash of not-so-forbidden ninja scrolls. Yes, these are completely free and you can learn those awesome ninja skills passed down from the masters.
But shh…. don’t tell the evil ninjas about it.

I have categorized the tutorials into different skill levels, starting from the complete zero to expert ninja. Please feel free to start from the whatever level that you feel comfortable with.
Also at the beginning of this guide, I have put in a recommendation section for camera gear and some other stuff.

Ah, the silky smooth streaks, how is it done? This ninja scroll will reveal the secret to capturing light in an awesome way.

The age old form of art. Now in photography. One of the timeless classics that you need to learn, and it’s pretty easy to pick up too.
How to take a very wide photo. Not with a smartphone, of course. This scroll will walk you through the old school method of how to stitch several photos together.
How to take a very tall photo. Yes, this scroll will walk you through the cousin of Panorama, the Vertorama.
The pretty blings, how do we capture them? This guide will walk you through several ways to do so, and it features a small section of the grand fireworks in my hometown – Singapore.
High Dynamic Range. We heard many people saying “it’s good”, but just what does it do?
The expert ninja level – We make things fly, we bend time and space, we make the impossible into reality. Sort of.
These are the difficult stuff for an already skilled ninja to play with.
