MAGICAL GIRL. DOH.
Welcome to my Akemi Homura cosplay gallery, and I have a confession to make. I usually don’t like magical girl stuff. That usual super cute voice overs, and extreme magic girl transformation style is just way too much for me to handle.
It’s like being forced to eat raw sugar, topped with extra cream, milk, sweetener, and had unicorn spit on it. But Madoka is actually different from the “normal” magical girl stuff, and it had a dark side to it… one that I pretty much enjoyed.
As usual, not going to give any spoilers here. Watch it, and come to the dark side.

HOW IT’S DONE
The lighting setup started with a simple 2 lights in the front, then we added color gels to add some drama in the back – also to highlight the can of haze that we brought.
This is the very first time we were trying to use the can of environmental haze… while outdoor. Not a good idea, and the wind really made things difficult. I gave up in the end, and went back to good old Photoshop.
Well, guess it will be some time before I figure out how to effectively use the haze. But here are some of the before and after Photoshop.
